Every once in a while I run across the perfect guide or handbook that helps me accomplish a task. Shelley Hitz produced the book I needed most when I was in the process of putting up eBooks for clients. I flipped into the right chapter and found out how to update my Author Profile effectively. In another chapter I learned about making a lovely link to an Amazon book, which is soooo much better than that link code that goes for miles! I trust everything in Shelley’s book, and I suggest you buy a copy and use it. Here’s the link: Marketing Your Book On Amazon: 21 Things You Can Easily Do For Free to Get More Exposure and Sales
Patented Fundraising for Non-profits with Kris Nichols
Today we heard from Kris Nichols about her patented process for fundraising available to non-profit organizations. It is possible for the organization to conduct an online auction using items from brand new iPads to big screen TVs, cars and houses.
The best part of the process is that Kris’s company sets up the whole process, monitors it, procures the bid item and helps to promote the online auction/bidding. Each auction has a short run time unlike those on other auction sites that can run for days or weeks. The urgency that is generated adds to the excitement.
When the winner is determined, they take delivery of the brand new auction item, paid for and owned free and clear by them.
For more information about EbidNsave, listen to the show posted here or contact Kris via their website.

Technology – Boomer and The Babe ad on Facebook
I just learned how to do a couple of things that are either exciting or potentially time eaters. I have spent the last several hours updating my Facebook profile and created my first Facebook ad!
I have avoided Facebook till now because I was afraid of getting hooked. Hooked on what? Why, my own cleverness, of course! Anyone else out there that prefers watching the Facebook pop ups to see if your latest post has grabbed someone?
I also learned to create a Facebook badge that seems pretty important. Now I need to figure out where to put it!
